These 1-3 minute of my best sketches were done in October of 98, when I first attempted to draw the figure with a live model. Today I was looking at an old notepad that had these drawings, and I remember the day I drew them, and how my ability to depict the figure has developed over the years. The skill to draw the figure depends on the ability to understand shapes and form in perspective. It's about training your eyes to see that we are composed of geometric shapes. These bottom ones are 1-3 minute drawings done this year. I still say the figure is one tough cookie to draw!
